Job summary

Hines is seeking a Director - Electrical Engineer for APAC to lead design, budgeting, and procurement of MEP systems across multiple projects. You will review design submissions, advise on consultant and subcontractor selections, and ensure cost effectiveness while aligning with ESG initiatives.

The role requires extensive preconstruction experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to travel across APAC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
• 10+ years design experience as an MEP professional in large-scale projects.

Responsibilities

• Support APAC Hines development teams in design, budgeting, consultant and subcontractor selection, and contracts for MEP systems.
• Review submissions from external consultants and architects for consistency and cost effectiveness.
• Advise on RFPs for MEP consultants and subcontractors and participate in negotiations.
• Develop and share a repository of MEP lessons learned with APAC teams.
• Travel ~50% within APAC to support projects.
