Job summary

HONG AN ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Manager to lead our design team on MEP/electrical projects, managing the full design lifecycle from concept to client coordination while mentoring engineers.

You will oversee drawings, calculations, submissions, and resourcing, ensuring compliance with codes and client requirements, and representing the company at technical meetings with clients and authorities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Registered PE or LEW
• 5–10 years of relevant design experience (Power Electronics HV/MV/LT/ELV/ICA, schematics & layout, cable assembly design)
• Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office; BIM/3D design knowledge a plus
• Strong written and spoken English
• Prior experience in construction project management
• Self-motivated, organised, and comfortable working across engineering, technical, and project teams

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers on drawings, calculations, and submissions
• Oversee project design, specifications, scheduling, and resourcing
• Provide design support across HT/LT/ELV/ICA electrical services
• Represent the company at technical meetings with clients, consultants, and authorities (incl. FAT/SAT)
• Review and approve calculation reports and technical documentation
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure quality and timely delivery
• Ensure designs meet applicable codes, standards, and client requirements
