Job summary

Caterpillar is seeking a proactive HR Intern to assist the Regional HR department in Singapore. You will manage the employee lifecycle and engage with senior leaders in AP region, requiring attention to labor regulations and strong administrative skills.

The role involves reviewing job descriptions, coordinating interviews, supporting policies, and creating HR content. Interns must be onsite five days a week for at least six months, with a stipend provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or currently pursuing a degree in HR Management or related field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take ownership.
• Tech-savvy with openness to new ideas and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Review job descriptions with leaders and post on various platforms.
• Screen candidates and coordinate interviews including package negotiation.
• Review internal HR policies and procedures and make recommendations.
• Review insurance policies and suggest improvements.
• Create marketing/digital content (newsletter, infographics, short videos).
• Prepare HR-related reports, e.g., training budgets by department.
• Answer employee benefits questions and eligibility details.
• Organize virtual training and networking events.
• Brainstorm creative ideas and assist with administrative work.
• Develop marketing materials for social media and events.
• Screen resumes and coordinate interview processes.
• Plan and manage training activities.
