Job summary

Wise, a global fintech leader, seeks a Director of Regional Marketing (APAC) to spearhead regional strategy across Asia-Pacific, including Japan, Singapore, China, and Australia. You will lead a team of Regional Marketing Leads, aligning local plans with Wise's global goals, driving growth while ensuring compliance and market relevance.

You will partner with central teams, Product, and local agencies to activate campaigns, optimize budgets, and deliver measurable ROI.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in growth/marketing with regional responsibility across multiple markets.
• Proven ability to set regional/local strategy and own execution in fintech/tech sectors.
• Ability to translate complex products/data into compelling customer propositions.
• Experience leading teams and aligning cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong in performance marketing, brand marketing, and local market dynamics.
• Data-driven mindset with ability to turn insights into action.
• Comfortable navigating a fast-paced, decentralised organisation and empowering teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management and leadership through ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Define and oversee Wise's APAC regional marketing strategy ensuring local relevance.
• Hire, manage and support Regional Marketing Leads delivering impactful campaigns.
• Build teams capable of activating new channels with a strong learning agenda.
• Provide leadership to APAC marketing teams and mentor junior staff.
• Develop local market growth playbooks aligned with compliance and regulations.
• Own regional marketing budgets and optimize resource allocation.
• Collaborate with central teams (media, creative, PR) and regional Product Directors.
• Report performance to senior leadership and strengthen local agency partnerships.
