Job summary

FM is seeking a Business Development Executive, Specialty to support growth in APAC from our Singapore/Sydney office. You will solicit new business directly and with broker partners, developing strategies and call plans to expand the Specialty Industries book across Chemical, Renewables and Forest Products.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree and 10+ years in risk management, underwriting or claims, with proven sales experience, excellent English communication, and strong relationship and

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
• At least 10 years' working experience in risk management, loss prevention engineering, claims or underwriting.
• Experience in the broader insurance industry is desired but not essential.
• Knowledge of sales processes and proven sales experience.
• Ability to develop strong relationships with clients.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including facilitation and presentation.
• Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills.
• Technology and social media savvy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office software.

Responsibilities

• Achieve new business objectives as established by the Regional Sales Manager.
• Develop strategy and complete call plans / reports to ensure that all prospects' information and documentation are updated in SRS.
• Build and maintain excellent relationships with prospective clients and brokers to create new business opportunities.
• Manage new business opportunities by continuously developing prospects.
• Maintain involvement in the local insurance and brokerage community by participating in meetings and conferences.
• Maintain an understanding of competitors' products, pricing strategy and practices.
