Job summary

Global Payments Asia Pacific (Hong Kong Holding) Limited is seeking a Corporate Counsel to join the Commercial and Regulatory Legal team. You will handle commercial contracts, strategic partnerships, and transactions to support international growth and compliance.

You’ll work with cross‑functional teams to advise on licensing, data privacy and financial crime, and coordinate with external counsel to expand into new markets while protecting the company’s rights.

Qualifications

• Qualified to practice law in a common law jurisdiction (UK, Singapore, Australia, NZ or equivalent).
• Typically 5+ years’ post-qualification experience, with payments/fintech or financial services exposure.
• Demonstrated ability to draft, negotiate and manage complex commercial agreements.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements relating to products, strategic partners, payment methods, technology providers and card networks.
• Provide commercial legal support to sales, product and business teams on new products, services, partnerships and geographies.
• Advise on global expansion, new markets, and related regulatory matters for the business.
• Provide practical legal advice on contractual, commercial and data security issues in commercial arrangements.
• Provide legal and regulatory guidance for product modifications and geographic expansion, including licensing, compliance and financial crime requirements.
• Coordinate, manage and validate advice from external counsel within budget.
• Other related duties as needed.
