Job summary

Stripe, Inc. in Singapore is seeking a Fraud Strategist for the APAC Risk team to identify and reduce transaction and merchant fraud across Stripe’s products and markets in the region.

You will monitor the health of the APAC portfolio, investigate threats, and design scalable controls to cut losses without harming legitimate merchants. You will tackle fast-moving problems with incomplete data, translate findings into concrete risk decisions, and partner with Product, Engineering, Data Science,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of fraud strategy or payments risk experience.
• Experience investigating fraud using account and transaction data.
• Strong quantitative analysis to frame decisions and tradeoffs.
• Experience partnering with Product, Engineering, Data Science, Operations, or Partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Monitor fraud trends across APAC and investigate anomalous behavior at merchant and transaction level.
• Define, build, and maintain regional fraud health metrics and communicate drivers of performance.
• Develop short and long term fraud strategies for APAC markets, products, and payment methods.
• Translate investigations into clear controls, product requirements, model improvements, and operational actions.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Data Science, Operations, Partnerships to scope and deliver fraud mitigation work.
• Assess fraud risks for new country, product, or local payment method launches and monitor outcomes after launch.
• Balance fraud loss with user experience, cost, conversion, and growth when implementing controls.
• Improve and automate fraud risk workflows through data and tools to increase consistency and speed.
• Work with users and external partners to explain fraud risks and support a healthy payments ecosystem.
