Job summary

Bank of America is seeking an in-house employment lawyer to provide strategic legal guidance on HR and benefits across the APAC region. The role involves working with HR partners across multiple jurisdictions, advising on regulatory matters, and coordinating with internal and external counsel.

Qualifications

• In-house employment lawyer with experience across the APAC region.
• Law degree required.
• At least 10 years post-qualification experience.
• Fluent spoken and written English required.
• Role based in Hong Kong or Singapore.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-class, commercial and risk-appropriate legal advice to HR in APAC.
• Interact daily with HR generalists and country HR partners across APAC jurisdictions.
• Liaise with control functions, internal and external lawyers.
• Build strong relationships with HR and LOB clients and propose practical legal solutions.
• Train HR and Legal on employment law matters and HR documents.
• Manage outside counsel cost-effectively and provide HR regulatory guidance.
• Keep up with regulatory changes and advise on HR data privacy and M&A implications.
