Job summary

Stryker is seeking an experienced Environmental, Health and Safety leader to shape and execute the EHS strategy across Asia Pacific. Based in Singapore, you will partner with Global EHS, COE and regional leaders to translate global programmes into locally actionable actions across manufacturing, distribution, laboratories, and offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years EHS experience within a global, regulated organisation, ideally in medical technology, pharmaceuticals or similar.
• Experience leading regional or multi-site EHS programmes across manufacturing, commercial and distribution environments.
• Strong knowledge of EHS regulations, ISO standards, management systems, auditing and compliance.
• Proven ability to lead teams, influence through a matrixed organisation and build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders.
• Strong executive communication and presentation capability, including explaining complex risk/regulatory information clearly.
• Advanced cross-cultural leadership skills across APAC markets.
• Ability to travel approximately 30% to 40% across the APAC region.
• Mandarin fluency will be essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead APAC EHS strategy: drive regional execution of global EHS strategy, standards and priorities.
• Translate strategy into action with Global EHS leadership to adapt programmes for APAC regulatory and business needs.
• Strengthen compliance and risk management with robust processes to identify hazards and controls.
• Improve regional performance with EHS metrics, dashboards and reporting, driving continuous improvement.
• Build capability and culture by engaging employees and developing EHS champions across the region.
• Lead and develop EHS professionals while influencing extended teams in a matrixed organisation.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to integrate EHS into planning and investments.
• Provide regional leadership during significant EHS incidents, guiding investigations and actions.
