Job summary

RGA invites an experienced Director to lead Operational Risk Management for APAC, shaping risk governance, resilience, and strategic risk programs across multiple countries. You will partner with business and functional leaders to ensure effective risk controls and informed decision-making.

The role requires deep expertise in risk frameworks, excellent communication, and the ability to translate complex risks into actionable insights for executive audiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Finance, Risk Management, Business, or Actuarial Science.
• Professional qualifications (GARP, PRM, FRM, or CII) preferred.
• 10+ years in operational risk, audit, or resilience in reinsurance/insurance.
• Strong understanding of risk frameworks and regulatory expectations.
• Excellent stakeholder management and change management capabilities.
• Ability to translate complex risks into executive-level reporting.
• Proven ability to influence and guide cross-functional teams.
• Advanced Excel, SharePoint, Power BI, and PowerPoint skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee implementation of the Operational Risk Management framework.
• Lead programs like RCA, KRIs, and incident management.
• Improve control effectiveness through risk assessments and remediation.
• Strengthen business continuity and resilience with country risk leaders.
• Provide risk evaluations for transactional risk assessments.
• Collaborate with leaders to identify emerging risks and mitigations.
• Deliver risk insights and reporting to senior management and risk committees.
• Foster a strong risk culture through stakeholder engagement.
