Job summary

The Japan Research Institute, Limited (Singapore Branch) is seeking an experienced IT governance professional to lead APAC risk and control initiatives. You will establish governance processes, coordinate with risk and audit teams, and drive remediation and continuous improvement across regional operations.

Responsibilities include ensuring readiness for audits, tracking remediation outcomes, and standardizing controls across APAC while addressing local needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, Engineering or risk-related field.
• Strong knowledge of IT governance, risk and compliance principles.
• Experience in IT governance, technology risk, compliance or service management.
• Experience establishing governance routines and remediation tracking.
• Ability to design governance processes, controls and risk reporting.
• Analytical, root-cause analysis and technical-writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain APAC TSG governance processes and escalation paths.
• Provide management with oversight of compliance, control effectiveness and remediation progress.
• Embed controls and risk-aware practices into day-to-day service delivery and operations.
• Identify, escalate and remediate operational and compliance risks and weaknesses.
• Ensure readiness for audits, control reviews, red-team exercises and tests.
• Oversee remediation and convert findings into sustainable improvements.
• Coordinate IT risk, security and audit specialists to deliver governance and improvements.
