Job summary

Intesa Sanpaolo is seeking a seasoned Credit Officer for the APAC region to provide independent credit assessment for Corporate and Structured Finance transactions. You will analyse counterparties, financial performance, financing structures and repayment capacity, challenging assumptions and recommending risk mitigants.

You will also monitor exposures, support timely credit decisions, liaise with APAC units and Head Office Underwriting, and contribute to annual reviews to manage risk within

Qualifications

• At least 6 years of credit analysis or related roles within international banking institutions.
• University degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Engineering or related discipline.
• Corporate and/or Structured Finance credit underwriting experience.
• Ability to analyze financial statements, cash flows and repayment capacity.
• Knowledge of APAC markets, cross-border lending, country risk and risk governance.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.
• CFA, FRM or related postgraduate studies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review Corporate and Structured Finance proposals across APAC, including new transactions, refinancings, amendments and waivers.
• Assess counterparties, financial performance, cash flows, financing structures, repayment sources, covenants and security packages.
• Evaluate business profiles, ownership structures, industry risks and regulatory considerations.
• Review financial models and conduct sensitivity analyses; benchmark credit metrics.
• Prepare credit memoranda highlighting strengths, risks, mitigants and recommendations.
• Verify proposal completeness, internal ratings, risk indicators and approvals.
• Liaise with APAC units and underwriting to support credit decisions and mitigants.
• Support annual reviews and monitor exposures, tracking deteriorations and corrective actions.
