Job summary

Chaucer Group seeks an APAC Structured Finance Analyst in Singapore to join the Political and Credit Risk underwriting team. You will perform high‑quality credit analysis, review financial statements and assess transaction risk across corporate and financial institutions, project finance, and structured trade.

You will work with underwriters in Singapore and London, deliver clear recommendations, and help maintain portfolio tools while monitoring risks and market developments.

Qualifications

• Experience in a leading bank, rating agency, asset manager, credit insurer or political risk insurer.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, credit analysis and transaction structures across corporate/financial institutions, project finance and structured trade.
• Ability to assess credit risk across sectors and geographies, including leverage, liquidity and cash flow.

Responsibilities

• Undertake detailed analysis of financial transactions across sectors, asset classes and geographies to support underwriting decisions.
• Analyse corporate, financial institution, project finance and structured trade transactions, including review of financial statements and capital structure.
• Prepare forward-looking financial analysis, projections, stress testing and scenario analysis.
• Review and synthesize transaction materials and market research.
• Provide concise, commercially relevant written and verbal feedback on transactions.
• Contribute to development of internal rating, pricing and portfolio tools.
• Participate in meetings with clients, banks and brokers.
• Support portfolio monitoring and escalate declining trends.
