Job summary

VERIFONE SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. seeks an APAC Compliance Lead to oversee regulatory compliance and risk management across APAC entities, including outsourced functions.

You will partner with internal teams and regulators, providing guidance on ABAC and payments regulations while strengthening the compliance program. In this global role, you will lead APAC anti-bribery programs, third‑party due diligence, and supply‑chain compliance, ensuring governance and proactive horizon scanning across markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in legal or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of compliance experience in APAC.
• Strong knowledge of ABAC regulations (FCPA, UK Bribery Act, APAC local laws).
• Expertise in third‑party due diligence, sanctions, and risk management.
• Experience engaging with APAC regulatory bodies.
• Understanding AML/CTF, modern slavery, and supply chain compliance.
• Ability to manage complex compliance frameworks and risk registers.
• Strong stakeholder management and advisory skills.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, global, matrixed environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance across APAC entities including outsourced functions.
• Act as liaison with APAC regulatory agencies alongside the Compliance team.
• Advise on regulatory requirements with focus on ABAC and payments regulation.
• Lead Anti-Bribery & Anti‑Corruption programs (FCPA, UK Bribery Act, OECD, APAC laws).
• Oversee ABAC casework including gifts, hospitality, conflicts of interest.
• Manage third‑party due diligence programs for distributors, agents, suppliers, and partners.
• Drive distributor and reseller risk management, including sanctions exposure.
• Oversee supply chain due diligence aligned with CS3D and Modern Slavery.
• Support Modern Slavery Act reporting and APAC human rights disclosures.
• Conduct APAC regulatory horizon scanning and provide proactive insights.
• Provide second-line compliance support across AML/CTF, sanctions, whistleblowing, investigations.
• Maintain integrity risk analysis, compliance frameworks, and governance structures.
• Execute compliance calendar and ensure policy updates.
• Educate and coach teams on compliance best practices and culture.
