Job summary

ByteDance is seeking a Head of Compliance for APAC Advanced Markets in Payments & Financial Services. You will lead regional compliance strategy across Singapore, HK, Japan, SK, Australia, NZ, overseeing licensing, AML/CFT, and regulatory examinations.

You will design a scalable risk-based framework, engage regulators, and partner with global teams to embed compliance-by-design into product roadmaps and market entry plans, while building and mentoring a high-performing regional team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
• Experience leading compliance across multiple APAC jurisdictions (Singapore, HK, Japan, SK, Australia, NZ).
• Strong knowledge of regulatory licensing, AML/CFT, and regulatory examinations across APAC.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional compliance strategy and licensing across APAC advanced markets.
• Engage regulators and supervisory authorities with credibility and initiative.
• Oversee AML/CFT, sanctions, and regulatory exam readiness for APAC.
• Partner with Global Payment teams to embed compliance-by-design into products and roadmaps.
