Job summary

JAC Recruitment in Singapore is seeking an Assistant Manager, Regional Compliance & Internal Controls to guide the internal control framework across the Asia Pacific region. You will work with regional stakeholders to strengthen governance, assess control procedures, and implement risk management practices.

The role requires collaboration with global teams, leadership in GRC initiatives, and the ability to travel within APAC as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, law, or a related field.
• 2+ years in internal controls, compliance, risk, governance, audit or similar.
• Solid understanding of regulatory requirements and governance.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to travel within Asia Pacific region as required.

Responsibilities

• Drive and oversee the internal control framework across the Asia Pacific region.
• Conduct regular assessments of control procedures and compliance practices.
• Support design, implementation and improvement of policies, controls and risk management.
• Follow up on audit observations with business stakeholders and ensure timely closure.
• Monitor resolution of audit findings and maintain records and progress reports.
• Coordinate regulatory updates, awareness initiatives, and training for regional teams.
• Liaise with global and regional stakeholders on policy changes and initiatives.
• Oversee data privacy and protection requirements across APAC entities.
• Lead GRC initiatives to align risk and compliance with business objectives and regulatory expectations.
• Identify emerging risks and provide recommendations to strengthen controls.
• Coordinate and maintain the region's BCM framework and ensure plans stay current and fit for purpose.
• Champion governance by reviewing policies and maintaining high integrity and accountability.
