Job summary

Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) in APAC seeks an Assistant Vice President/VP, Enterprise Data Governance and Analytics Tooling to deliver analytics, dashboards, and data products across stakeholders, with a focus on self-service analytics and governance.

You will translate business needs into data solutions, develop KPIs, reports, and reusable assets, and collaborate with data engineering, privacy and regulatory teams to ensure quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in data analytics, information systems, CS, engineering, finance, math, or equivalent.
• 3–6 years of analytics, BI, data management, reporting, or related experience.
• Experience delivering reports, dashboards, or analytics solutions in banking or regulated industries.
• Strong business analysis and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience working with cross-functional business and technology teams.
• Understanding of data governance and data management principles.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and identify analytics opportunities.
• Design and deliver dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions.
• Translate business needs into data products and reporting requirements.
• Develop analytics use cases and business insights.
• Promote data-driven decision-making through effective reporting and visualization.
• Support analytics lifecycle from requirements to deployment and adoption.
