Job summary

OpenAI seeks an exceptional community lead based in Singapore to uncover how domain experts use ChatGPT and other OpenAI products in their work, and translate learnings into product insights and compelling stories.

You will build trusted relationships with advanced users in your region, help test upcoming products, and collaborate with product, research, and storytelling teams. This role combines community-building with qualitative research and editorial judgment.

Qualifications

• Exceptional curiosity about people, work, technology, and how new practices emerge.
• Strong sourcing instincts and the resourcefulness to find high-signal people before they are widely known.
• Excellent relationship-building skills and the ability to earn trust across different professions, seniority levels, and cultural contexts.
• Strong interviewing, research, writing, and synthesis skills.
• Editorial taste and clear judgment about what is genuinely interesting, important, credible, and worth sharing.
• Fluency with AI products and enough technical confidence to understand and document sophisticated workflows accurately.
• High agency and comfort operating independently in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment.
• Strong organization and reliable follow-through across a large pipeline of relationships and opportunities.
• Excellent judgment around privacy, consent, confidentiality, and sensitive user context.
• Deep familiarity with the culture, professional networks, and language of the region you will cover.
• Professional fluency in English and in the primary language or languages needed for your market

Responsibilities

• Find and support exceptional users: Build and manage a regional pipeline of advanced users working with OpenAI products in sophisticated, creative, or high-impact ways, looking beyond obvious influencers to earn trust across professions and cultures and maintain relationships over time.
• Turn advanced use into insight and stories: Interview users and, with their consent, review chats, artifacts, or demonstrations to understand workflows, outcomes, and limitations; translate the strongest examples into clear internal profiles and evidence-based recommendations, then partner with community and storytelling teams to develop selected stories.
• Build a connected community: Create opportunities for advanced users to learn from one another, identify recurring product-education needs and adoption patterns, and share regional signals that strengthen the global program.
