Job summary

POINT VETERINARY SURGERY is seeking a proactive receptionist to support daily clinic operations. You will handle calls, emails, register patients and assist during consultations with animal handling support.

Responsibilities include scheduling appointments, invoicing, maintaining records, liaising with clients and suppliers, and ensuring clinic cleanliness and safety. Prior animal-care experience is a plus, and you will work in a fast-paced environment with a small team.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming calls, emails and inquiries and assist to register patients.
• Assist in handling and restraining animals during consultations and treatments.
• Schedule appointments, admissions and follow-ups.
• Invoicing, dispensing medications and provide basic advice on animal care, nutrition and point-treatment care.
• Administrative tasks including filing, data entry, stock replenishment for reception display, stock check and document preparation (eg. issue certificates, print labels etc)
• Maintain accurate up-to-date customers' records and ensuring confidentiality of information
• Liaise with customers and vendors to ensure smooth operations
• Monitor and oversee payments of invoices/bills
• Oversee office equipment maintenance and troubleshoot minor issues (NETS machine, printer, etc)
• Maintain clinic cleanliness and hygiene at all times
• Follow safety protocols for handling animals and medical waste
• Support miscellaneous duties as and when required
