Job summary

POINT Veterinary Surgery in Singapore is seeking a dedicated veterinary assistant to support patient care and clinic operations. You will help restrain and monitor animals, assist during surgeries and diagnostic tests, and keep treatment areas clean and organized.

You will interact with clients, schedule follow-ups, maintain accurate records, and aid with invoicing and hygiene compliance. Training will be provided, and prior veterinary experience is a plus.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• 1) Patient Care: Assists in handling and restraining animals during consultations and treatments. Monitor and provide basic care to hospitalized patients, including feeding, cleaning and ensuring comfort. Administer medications as directed by the veterinarians.
• 2) Clinical Assistance: Prepare, clean and maintain surgical and treatment areas. Assist veterinarians during surgeries, dental procedures and diagnostic tests. Maintain and sterilize medical equipment and instruments.
• 3) Client Interaction: Provide clients with basic advice on animal care, nutrition and post-treatment instructions. Assist in scheduling appointments and follow-ups. Handle client inquiries and payments and ensure excellent service delivery.
• 4) Administrative Support: Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment logs. Handle administrative tasks such as invoicing, filing whenever required.
• 5) Hygiene and Safety: Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the clinic, including treatment rooms and kennel areas. Follow safety protocols for handling animal and medical waste.

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications

Working Hours

• 10.00 am to 9.00 pm (Weekdays)
• 10.00 am to 5.00 pm (1 Sat per month)

Salary will commensurate with qualification and relevant work experience.
