Job summary

GovTech in Singapore is seeking an Android Engineer for Singpass to influence end-to-end Android development with a security-first mindset. You will build features for secure authentication and data sharing, write robust code, and craft smooth mobile experiences across devices.

You'll collaborate with UX and cybersecurity experts to deliver secure, reliable public services while employing modern Android patterns and cloud-aware thinking.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven professional experience in Android development.
• Hands-on experience with Kotlin and the Android SDK is mandatory.
• Experience with CI/CD tools, Git, and automated testing frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle from ideation with product managers to production deployment.
• Develop and iterate features for Singpass with a focus on security and usability.
• Write robust, secure, maintainable code for authentication, data sharing, and reliable mobile experiences.
• Build modern UI/UX with native Android frameworks and ensure performance across devices.
• Design scalable Android architectures (MVVM/MVI) and optimize memory, battery, and network usage.
• Collaborate with UX, cybersecurity, and backend teams to align user needs with technical constraints.
