Job summary
Ampol Trading & Shipping is offering a six-month Analysis Intern role in Singapore within the Trading & Shipping Analytics team. You will support the Commercial Analysts with research, data collection, cleaning, and the development of market analytics for oil trading and shipping.
You'll collaborate with app developers, data scientists and data engineers to automate data ingestion, build analytical tools and dashboards, and contribute to weekly market reports.
Qualifications
- Undergraduates (Computing, Engineering, Data Analytics, Business)
- Experience in automation and process improvement is desirable
- Keen interest in oil trading and refining
- PowerBI knowledge is an advantage
- Code in VBA / R / Python / SQL is an advantage
- Knowledge of Dataiku and Snowflake is an advantage
- Self-starter, able to work independently
- Excellent communication with stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Conduct research on refineries globally to build a database of capacities
- Update and maintain refinery outage data
- Support analysts with research and ship tracking for crude balances
- Produce reports on country statistics, ship tracking, price charts and weekly market report
- Improve BAU processes via automation and models
- Collaborate with analysts and traders on market research and data
- Support the Data Analytics Project delivery
