Job summary

Achieve Group is partnering with an established international organisation in the maritime and commodities sector to hire a Data Analyst for its Singapore team. The role blends market research, data analysis and commercial support, working with internal stakeholders to provide timely insights for business and client decisions.

You will monitor shipping and market developments, maintain market data, develop analytic models and dashboards, and support ad hoc requests with strong SQL and Excel

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse shipping and market developments to provide relevant commercial insights
• Maintain and manage market data, ensuring information is accurate, timely and reliable
• Conduct research on market trends, movements and developments
• Develop and maintain analytical models, reports and dashboards

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in shipping, maritime, commodities or a related commercial environment
• Diploma or Degree in Maritime Studies, Business, Economics, Data Analytics or a related discipline
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and SQL
• Basic knowledge of Python or another programming language will be an advantage
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with good attention to detail
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Commercially minded with an interest in the shipping and commodities markets
• Able to work independently, manage priorities and meet deadlines
• Proactive, self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
