Qualifications

• PhD in microbiology, molecular microbiology, biotechnology, molecular biology, environmental engineering, bioengineering, or a related field.
• Hands‑on experience in microbiology and molecular biology research techniques.
• Experience in antimicrobial resistance, microbial genetics, gene mobility, or microbial genomics is preferred.
• Bioinformatics skills, including analysis of genomic/metagenomic/transcriptomic data, would be an advantage.
• Experience with R, Python, Linux/Unix, sequence‑analysis tools, or biological databases is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, scientific writing, communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Entry level candidates with a relevant PhD are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Conduct molecular microbiology and biotechnology experiments related to AMR and gene mobility.
• Perform microbial cultivation, molecular biology, genetic, and antimicrobial susceptibility analyses.
• Analyze experimental results and, where applicable, genomic or other omics datasets.
• Integrate laboratory and computational findings and contribute to manuscripts, reports, and presentations.
• Collaborate with project members and support student mentoring and good research practices.
