Job summary

NTU Singapore's School of Materials Science and Engineering invites applications for a Research Fellow with expertise in Environmental Engineering and Microbiology to study bioflocs in climate-resilient aquaculture systems.

The Fellow will design and perform experiments, analyze data, and communicate findings through technical reports and presentations while collaborating with researchers from diverse disciplines and industry partners.

Qualifications

• PhD in environmental engineering, biochemical engineering, environmental biotechnology/microbiology or related field.
• Solid foundation in microbial biotechnology with publications.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience in biofilm- or biofloc-related topics is highly desirable.

We are looking for a Research Fellow (RF) with expertise and experience in Environmental Engineering / Microbiology. The RF will engage in innovative research focused on the formation, structure, and function of bioflocs in climate-resilient aquaculture systems. This position provides an exceptional opportunity to engage in impactful, interdisciplinary research in a multidisciplinary, multi-institutional research team. It also provides opportunities to closely interact with industry leaders in aquaculture.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills;
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary research team;
• Research experience in biofilm- or biofloc-related topics is highly desirable.
