Job summary

OCBC Bank in Singapore is recruiting an ALM Intern to gain hands-on experience in liquidity management and balance sheet optimization within a leading financial institution. Your role includes enhancing liability management reporting using Tableau or PowerBI, automating processes with VBA or Python, and performing analyses that support P&L drivers, cashflow risk, and liquidity strategies.

You should be pursuing an undergraduate degree and have strong Excel, programming, and data-visualisation

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree.
• Solid understanding of financial markets, financial modelling, and economic principles.
• Experience programming with VBA or Python, and highly proficient in Excel.
• Familiar with creating and interpreting data visualisations in Tableau or PowerBI.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Enhancing ALM reporting tools using Tableau or PowerBI.
• Automating current processes using VBA or Python to improve efficiency.
• Performing analysis and research to optimize the desk's balance sheet and enhance liquidity management.
• Contributing to GM ALM analytics including P&L drivers, spread analysis, and cashflow risk assessment.
• Participating in projects that influence the strategic direction of the ALM function.
