Job summary

WECRUIT PTE. LTD. is seeking a Freight Planner to optimize cargo space and manage freight movements.

You will coordinate with airlines and carriers on bookings, tracking, and pricing, while ensuring timely shipments and service commitments. Responsibilities include monitoring freight movements, maintaining rate information, preparing reports, and supporting the sales team with suitable freight solutions. Responsibilities

• Plan and optimise cargo space allocation to maximise shipment efficiency and capacity utilisation.
• Monitor freight movements and provide timely shipment updates to customers, carriers, and internal stakeholders.
• Liaise with airlines and freight carriers on pricing, bookings, tracking, and operational matters.
• Maintain and review customer selling rates and carrier buying rates to support competitive pricing and profitability.
• Coordinate bookings and monitor shipment uplift to meet agreed rates, schedules, and service commitments.
• Prepare shipment progress reports and profit-and-loss analyses for operational and commercial review.
• Manage RFQs, rate quotations, and tender-related activities.
• Support the sales team in handling customer enquiries and developing appropriate freight solutions.
• Maintain current freight rate information and assist with pricing evaluations.
• Plan and coordinate rolled-over shipment consolidation to improve cargo space utilisation.
• Arrange bookings with airlines and other freight carriers.
• Work with customer service and warehouse teams to ensure cargo readiness and timely shipment uplift.
