Job description

THEOPPORTUNITY

The AI Transformation Manager owns the group's AI adoption and transformation agenda in the Singapore office, with a mandate from the Managing Director.

You will lead the office's AI-enabled transformation full time: half change management and acculturation, half business analysis andproject management, with full ownership of the office's AI consumption.

The ambition: move from individual AI use to optimised processes, shared across offices.

THE WORK

Spot local opportunities. Look at how the business unit works and identify where AI can remove friction, save time or improve quality, surfacing both practical use cases and pain points worth escalating. Structuring AI projects may also be shared with the Group AI team, to get their support from a technical perspective (advice if local resources are available, or full development).

Coach and acculturate colleagues. Help colleagues, and above all, those who are not technical, understand what generative AI is and how to use it in their daily work, and build their confidence, by pointing them to the right resources, encouraging practice and creating light opportunities to learn together locally.

Surface field feedback. Feed usage, needs, friction and learning gaps back to the Group AI Transformation and L&D teams, so that local reality shapes what is built and prioritised centrally.

Lead the local transformation agenda. Drive process optimisation and automation across the office's business units, prioritise use cases with the Managing Director, and deploy them with the GroupAI team and the local AI Explorers.

Contribute to shared group processes. Identify where processes proven in the office can become group standards, and adopt standards proven elsewhere, so that all of mci group benefits from advances made by any one office.

Own, allocate and control AI consumption. Own the office's token and pay-per-use AI costs within the Group governance framework, run the request and approval process, report consumption against productivity and business value, and prepare the office's consumption estimate for budgeting.

Activate the toolbox. Select two to three initiatives per semester from the curated catalogue (local training, office hours, process analysis, use-case co-development with the AIteam) that will have a real impact in the office, and report back on outcomes. Support the local application of global AI and L&D content, withoutcreating unnecessary additional content.

Animate the local community. Lead the office's AI Champions community and play an active role in the AITransformation Managers network (bi-weekly calls and in-person gatherings),taking part in the community's own agenda rather than relying on central drive.

Adoption, not development. Drive change management and adoption within the office; the Transformation Manager is not expected to build technical solutions (the AI Explorers community) nor to act as a helpdesk (day-to-day technical issues stay with IT).

THE HIVE

The role will have a hard reporting line to a member of the office's management team, and a dotted line to the Group AI Transformation team, which provides the framework, governance, content and support.

You will work in tandem with the AI Explorers in their office, who build the solutions, and with the wider AI Transformation Managers network across offices.

TECHNICAL SKILLS
  • Ability to understand complex business processes and issues, and to translate them into business requirements.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Copilot and open to exploring other approved AI solutions.
  • Able to translate AI features into practical, role-relevant use cases for colleagues.
  • Basic understanding of generative AI concepts, sufficient to demystify them for a non-technical audience.
  • Able to read and analyse AI usage and cost data from the Group reporting, and to link it to productivity and value indicators.
  • Understanding of process mapping and automation principles.
  • Understanding of data quality and data use, and of why reliable data is a precondition for valuable AI.
SOFT SKILLS
  • Change management: able to bring colleagues along, including those who are hesitant or sceptical about AI, and to turn resistance into engagement.
  • Training and facilitation: comfortable explaining and demystifying AI for a non-technical audience, and running simple, practical sessions.
  • Active listening: able to hear the real needs and frictionpoints of local teams, and to translate them into concrete opportunities.
  • Collaboration and influence: works well across teams and can animate a collective dynamic without formal authority.
  • Empathy and patience: meets colleagues where they are, at their own pace and level of confidence.
  • Leadership: ability to steer a local transformation agenda with the Managing Director and team leads.
IDEAL PROFILE
  • A genuine appetite for AI, change management and improving ways of working.
  • Credibility with peers within the office.
  • Solid business knowledge of the office's activity, ideally combining operations and back-office perspectives.
  • Project management experience; the role is typically staffed by reallocating project management capacity.
  • Curiosity and a willingness to keep experimenting with generative AI.
Local Benefits
  • Birthday Leave
  • Group Hospital & Surgical, Outpatient Clinical (including virtual consultation), Outpatient Specialist, Personal Accident & Mental Wellness
