Job summary

Shopee's Regional People HR System team invites a software-focused intern to help design PoCs on our AI-agent platform and contribute to People Team processes. You will develop Python code, explore data structures, and support AI-driven enhancements in HR systems.

You will collaborate with Product Managers and Developers to implement AI models, refine prompts, participate in UAT, and assist with updating user guides and related training for business users.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, AI, or related field.
• Strong proficiency in Python; familiarity with LLMs and prompt-engineering techniques is a plus.
• Demonstrate understanding of data structures and algorithms (coursework, projects, or competitions).

Responsibilities

• Proof-of-Concept Development: Design and implement workplace-efficiency PoCs on our AI-agent platform, mainly for People Team processes
• Prompt Engineering: Develop, test, and refine prompts to improve AI model accuracy and usability
• Python Development: Write clean, maintainable Python code for PoC integrations, tooling, and dashboards
• Data Structures & Algorithms: Apply DSA principles to optimise code performance and model interactions
• Collaborate with Product Managers/Developers to implement the AI models on internal HR systems if needed
• Conduct training to business users about AI features
• Assist with simple HR systems features development and implementation (eg: review PRD, conduct UAT, etc)
• Assist with updating User Guides for various new features
• Provide support on any other tasks assigned by the reporting manager
