Job summary

Riskdata Consulting is seeking an OpenStack Platform Engineer to design, implement, automate, and maintain scalable OpenStack infrastructure. The role emphasizes AI-assisted automation, operational security, and performance optimization across Red Hat OpenStack environments.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure platform availability, reliability, and compliance. Candidates should show leadership, strong problem-solving, and effective communication with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Expertise in Red Hat or any OpenStack platform administration.
• Expertise in Kubernetes platform management.
• Experience provisioning infrastructure with VMware ESX and monitoring using Prometheus and Ops.
• Experience integrating with Elastic Stack for logging and analytics.
• Familiarity with Generative AI, LLMs, Agentic AI, and AIOps concepts applied to infrastructure operations.
• Experience or exposure to AI agents and AI-assisted automation for cloud/OpenStack administration.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in complex technical environments.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills to stakeholders.
• Proven leadership experience in technical environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain Red Hat OpenStack cloud infrastructure to ensure reliability and scalability.
• Develop and optimize automation scripts for deployments and management of OpenStack environments.
• Integrate OpenStack with Kubernetes, OpenShift, and other systems for interoperability.
• Troubleshoot complex OpenStack and underlying infra issues to maintain stability.
• Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with policies.
• Contribute to capacity planning and performance optimization.
• Manage change processes for OpenStack upgrades and admin tasks.
• Explore AI and AIOps solutions to improve OpenStack administration.
• Use AI-assisted automation for monitoring, troubleshooting, and remediation.
• Develop AI agents with OpenStack APIs and automation tools.
• Conduct root cause analysis and review code with unit testing.
• Create and edit system documentation and playbooks.
• Mentor junior team members.
