Job summary

NCS Group in Singapore is seeking an AI Engineer Intern to gain hands-on experience building and improving components of an enterprise AI platform. You’ll assist with model routing, cost tooling, guardrails, and deployment workflows under experienced engineers.

This live platform addresses real enterprise challenges, offering practical exposure to agentic AI architectures, responsible-AI design, and scalable AI operations relevant to future roles in AI infrastructure or platform engineering.

Qualifications

• Proficiency or willingness to learn programming/scripting languages (Python, SQL, JavaScript).
• Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts or strong willingness to learn.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Familiarity with version control (Git), basic software engineering practices, and observability tooling (OpenTelemetry/OTel) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Write and debug code under guidance.
• Understand AI/ML concepts used on the platform.
• Assist with testing, bug fixes, small feature implementations.
• Learn to use team's tools, frameworks, and internal systems.
• Build confidence and independence over the internship.
• Complete clearly scoped tasks and communicate progress.
• Break down larger work into smaller tasks and document it.
• Be open to demos, test cases, and day-to-day tasks.
