Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. seeks a Quality/Deviation Specialist to coordinate deviation evaluations, lead root cause analysis, and drive cross‑functional improvements. You’ll maintain excursion documentation, resolve roadblocks, and promote AI‑assisted problem solving across global teams.

You will work with Kepner-Tregoe, FMEA, and SPC methodologies while upholding strict data-driven quality standards and Micron’s core values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Proven skills in team building between different departments.
• Demonstrated capability in managing and prioritizing projects.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proven ability to analyze and report data to drive improvement.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate deviation evaluations with the deviations owners.
• Facilitate root cause analysis and systematic troubleshooting efforts.
• Drive accountability of actions and follow-up.
• Validate root causes are supported by data.
• Maintain documentation for excursions.
• Help to resolve roadblocks and provide guidance for deviation questions.
• Identify deviation detection deficiency and drive for early detection.
• Manage global and internal lessons learned systems.
• Improve cross-area event response methods and procedures.
• Communicate and translate corporate Quality goals.
• Publish excursion performance to management.
• Facilitate excursion review meetings.
• Develop and Enhance Quality knowledge through Workshops and Tutorial.
• Promote Quality Culture through Quality Campaign, quizzes, competitions and engagement program.
• Integrates AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising sound judgment and complying with organizational standards and legal requirements.
• Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within one’s scope of work.
