Job summary

Singapore Exchange Limited is seeking product-minded engineers to transform ambiguous problems into production-ready systems. You will partner with stakeholders to shape requirements, prototype rapidly to validate direction, and harden results for operate-with-confidence in a regulated capital-markets environment.

This generalist role emphasizes building and orchestrating AI agents across the SDLC, ensuring quality, security, and operational rigour throughout development and deployment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a track record of taking work from idea to production.
• Experience orchestrating coding agents across the SDLC.
• Fluency in at least two modern languages (e.g. Java, Kotlin, TypeScript, Python, Rust).
• Solid foundations in distributed systems, APIs, and messaging.

Responsibilities

• Own initiatives end-to-end: clarify requirements with stakeholders, propose what to build, and release it.
• Move prototypes into production systems that handle edge cases and scale.
• Apply AI-native approaches across the full SDLC and contribute to internal agentic workflows.
• Define release readiness: test strategy, rollout, observability, runbooks, and security considerations.
• Design and integrate distributed systems where it matters (messaging, orchestration, protocols).
