Job summary

TikTok is seeking engineers to design, develop, and optimize live streaming core services, improving system quality and efficiency. You will contribute to stability initiatives, disaster recovery design, monitoring enhancements, and fault detection for extreme scenarios.

The role also involves driving service architecture governance, identifying systemic risks, and pushing forward architecture evolution and AI-friendly data pipelines as part of an AI-driven system evolution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science or related field.
• Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and networking.
• Proficient in at least one backend language (Go/Java/C++/Python) and microservices.
• Strong problem solving, curiosity, and sense of ownership.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize live streaming core services to improve system quality and efficiency.
• Advance stability initiatives for critical streaming scenarios, including disaster recovery architecture, monitoring, and fault detection and recovery.
• Govern service architecture, identify systemic risks, and push for evolution of engineering standards.
• Contribute to AI-driven evolution of system architecture with AI-friendly data pipelines.
