Job summary

TikTok is seeking passionate engineering interns to join the Global Live Service Arch team in Singapore. You will help build and optimize a real-time, high-performance distributed infrastructure for live streaming, collaborating with product managers to deliver the best experience for billions of users.

Interns will gain hands-on experience across the development lifecycle, work on critical product features, and participate in development workshops and social events.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in software development, computer science, computer engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Proficient in at least one of Go, Python, Java, or C++.
• Solid understanding of computer architecture, data structures, and algorithms; knowledge of databases and messaging frameworks like MySQL/Redis/Kafka.
• Able to work with diverse stakeholders and communicate effectively.
• Self-driven, positive, cooperative, and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Play a critical role in planning and leading large-scale technical projects to lay the foundation for iterative development and scale of early products.
• Participate in developing robust, efficient technology products that serve 1 billion users.
• Be a key member in improving architecture to ensure high stability and performance.
• Be involved in researching and applying cutting-edge domain and technical knowledge into products that could benefit worldwide TikTok users.
