Job summary

Swiss Reinsurance Company in Singapore seeks an experienced agriculture underwriter to support underwriting activities across Korea, Japan, Southeast Asia, and ANZ. You will work on costing and pricing of agricultural treaties and facultative business, and originate new opportunities with private and public sector partners.

Depending on experience, the role may be positioned at VP level and requires strong data analytics, stakeholder management, and knowledge of agriculture pricing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-8 years relevant work experience in insurance or reinsurance underwriting/ actuarial / pricing.
• Knowledge of agriculture business in Asia will be an advantage.
• Effective communication skills with diverse stakeholders.
• Highly self-motivated and able to work in an agile team environment.
• Strong technical understanding of agriculture pricing, exposure assessment and claims/loss experience analysis.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the global agriculture portfolio strategy with focus on identifying new opportunities in responsible markets.
• High-quality underwriting, costing, and pricing of agricultural reinsurance through renewals and new deals.
• Develop new agricultural insurance schemes with product design, pricing, and policy wording.
• Maintain and develop client and Agri-stakeholder relationships for portfolio steering and client management.
• Originate and manage relationships with insurers, brokers, and government entities in collaboration with internal teams.
• Contribute to studies, publications, and training for clients.
