Job summary

Swiss Re in Singapore seeks a motivated agriculture underwriter with hands-on experience in agriculture insurance/reinsurance to join our Agriculture Reinsurance Team. Position may be VP level depending on experience; focus includes pricing and development of new schemes for Asia markets with private and public partners.

You will participate in costings, client relations, and data analytics while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to grow the portfolio and support regional

Qualifications

• 5-8 years relevant work experience in insurance or reinsurance underwriting.
• Knowledge of agriculture business in Asia is advantageous.
• Effective communication with diverse stakeholders.
• Analytical and pragmatic in tackling technical issues.
• Graduate or post-graduate in relevant disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to global agriculture portfolio strategy by identifying opportunities in responsible markets.
• Underwrite, cost, and price agricultural reinsurance renewals and new deals with guidelines and tools.
• Develop new agricultural schemes with private/public partners and explore index-based solutions.
• Maintain client and Agri-stakeholder relationships for portfolio steering.
• Originate and manage relationships with insurers, brokers, and government entities.
• Support data analytics and market studies in agriculture insurance and reinsurance data.
• Collate pricing and claims data for planning and execution.
• Oversee end-to-end underwriting processes with related teams.
