Job summary

Swiss Re in Singapore seeks a highly motivated agriculture underwriter at VP level to support underwriting across Korea, Japan, Southeast Asia, and ANZ. You will cost and price treaties and facultative business while developing new agricultural schemes with private and public sector partners.

Ideal candidates have 5–8 years in insurance or reinsurance underwriting with strong data analytics, pricing skills and stakeholder management. Regional travel and collaboration across APAC are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-8 years relevant work experience in insurance or reinsurance underwriting.
• Knowledge of agriculture business in Asia is advantageous.
• Effective communication with various stakeholders in agriculture business.
• Self-motivated, agile, and able to work in a team environment.
• Strong technical understanding of agriculture pricing and claims analysis.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to global agriculture portfolio strategy and originate new opportunities.
• High-quality underwriting, costing, and pricing of reinsurance deals and renewals.
• Develop new agricultural schemes with private and public sector partners.
• Maintain relationships with insurers, brokers, and government entities.
• Collaborate with teams on data analytics and market studies.
• Lead end-to-end underwriting process in coordination with multiple functions.
