Job summary

DBS Bank Ltd is seeking a Business Analyst to partner with business and IT teams at the DBS Asia Hub in Singapore. The role focuses on gathering, analysing, and documenting business requirements, translating them into functional specs, and shaping process flows.

You will bridge business and tech teams, contribute to solution design with architects and developers, and participate in Agile ceremonies. UAT planning, defect tracking, and continuous process improvement are key responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, Engineering, or related field.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum environments.
• Domain knowledge (Banking / Finance) is a plus.
• Strong requirement elicitation and documentation skills.
• Good understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Ability to write clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with Jira / Confluence; MS Excel, PowerPoint.
• Basic understanding of APIs, databases, and system integrations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document business requirements.
• Conduct stakeholder discussions to understand business processes and pain points.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, and process flows.
• Act as a bridge between business and technical teams, ensuring clarity and alignment.
• Support solution design by working closely with architects, developers, and QA teams.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives).
• Create and maintain BRD, FRS, User Stories and Acceptance Criteria, and process maps (As-Is and To-Be).
• Assist in UAT planning, execution, and defect tracking.
• Ensure solutions meet business needs and deliver measurable value.
• Support change management and release activities, including documentation and communication.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization.
