ALG is hiring for a Aerospace Production Planner for our client based in Singapore for a leading aerospace and manufacturing organisation in Singapore. This is a 1-year contract role, supporting production planning and control activities within the manufacturing environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and expedite shop-floor activities to meet production schedules and ensure on‑time delivery to customers.
- Analyse material flow and utilise production scheduling techniques to manage cell planning and production schedules.
- Monitor and manage production input/output and work-in-progress (WIP) based on demand to maintain optimum inventory levels and minimise delays.
- Review daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly production performance to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for corrective and continuous improvement actions.
- Support material planning activities to achieve delivery and inventory performance targets.
- Provide support in resolving material‑related issues arising from engineering changes and new product start‑up activities.
- Analyse demand fluctuations, workload changes, and capacity requirements to support effective production planning.
- Coordinate closely with production, material planning, engineering, and other departments to resolve planning, scheduling, material, and shipment‑related issues.
- Maintain accurate planning information and ensure timely updates within SAP and other relevant systems.
- Apply standard operational practices, methods, and procedures in carrying out planning activities.
- Participate in and initiate continuous improvement activities to improve production efficiency and delivery performance.
- Liaise with internal and external customers when required.
- Share relevant knowledge and provide guidance to team members where appropriate.
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Production, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in production planning and control.
- Experience in production scheduling, shop‑floor planning, or manufacturing planning.
- Good understanding of material flow, WIP, inventory, workload, and capacity planning.
- Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office.
- Good analytical skills with working knowledge of spreadsheets, pivot tables, and databases.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under tight timelines.
- Good organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Strong team player with a high standard of performance and personal integrity.
- Candidates with experience in continuous improvement or manufacturing operations will be an advantage.
