Job summary

RTX, a leading aerospace and defense company, is seeking a Production Planning professional in Singapore to lead end-to-end planning and scheduling for complex manufacturing programs.

The role involves coordinating with Operations, Materials, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to ensure material readiness, maintain SAP data, and optimize inventory while supporting NPI and site expansion initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead production planning, scheduling, and execution to support ramp-up programs.
  • Review and release production orders, shop papers, and instructions.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure material readiness.
  • Develop and maintain production schedules to meet delivery commitments.
  • Generate forecasts and planned orders to support MRP and inventory.
  • Drive capacity planning, AOP, LE, and LRP activities.
  • Support NPI, site transitions, and deployment of digital manufacturing systems.
  • Maintain SAP planning master data with lead times, lot sizes, safety stocks.
  • Analyze demand, supply, inventory, and capacity trends to mitigate risks.
  • Serve as planning focal point for cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead production planning, scheduling, and execution activities to support work transfer, First Article Inspection (FAI), and production ramp-up programs.
  • Review, release, and manage production orders, shop papers, job instructions, and engineering documentation to support manufacturing operations.
  • Coordinate with Operations, Materials, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Procurement teams to ensure material, capacity, tooling, and resource readiness.
  • Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer delivery commitments while balancing capacity and inventory requirements.
  • Generate material forecasts and planned orders to support MRP planning and inventory optimization.
  • Drive capacity planning, hours planning, Annual Operating Plan (AOP), Latest Estimate (LE), and Long-Range Planning (LRP) activities.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI), work transfer, and site transition programs through effective planning and execution management.
  • Maintain SAP planning master data and ensure planning parameter accuracy, including lead times, lot sizes, safety stock, yield, and scrap factors.
  • Support deployment and continuous improvement of SAP, APS, MES, and digital manufacturing systems.
  • Analyze demand, supply, inventory, and capacity trends to identify risks and drive corrective actions.
  • Serve as the planning focal point for cross-functional stakeholders and drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve delivery performance, inventory health, and planning effectiveness.

  • Aerospace manufacturing operations and industrialization processes within a highly regulated environment.
  • End-to-end production planning, supply chain management, and manufacturing execution in a global aerospace organization.
  • Work transfer and capability ramp-up methodologies supporting new product introduction and site expansion initiatives.
  • Capacity planning, inventory optimization, demand management, and Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) processes.
  • SAP Production Planning (PP), MRP, APS, MES, and other Industry 4.0 digital manufacturing technologies.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Qualifications We Prefer
  • Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems such as SAP.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
