Job summary

ALG in Singapore is hiring a Process Improvement Engineer on a 1-year renewable contract to lead Lean manufacturing initiatives and drive operational excellence across the production lifecycle.

You will apply Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen and data-driven methods, map processes, run Kaizen events, and develop dashboards with Power BI or Tableau to track KPIs and benefits; strong communication and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• 2–5 years of experience in Continuous Improvement / Lean Manufacturing / Operational Excellence.
• Hands-on experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, VSM and structured problem-solving.
• Experience leading cross-functional improvement projects.
• Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred; Black Belt or PMP an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen and structured problem-solving.
• Conduct VSM, process mapping, RCA, FMEA, 5S and DMAIC activities to improve productivity, quality, cost and delivery.
• Identify process gaps, bottlenecks and waste, and implement sustainable improvements.
• Lead and support Kaizen events and cross-functional improvement projects.
• Track project progress, KPIs and improvement benefits using relevant dashboards and reporting tools.
• Develop digital solutions using Power BI, Tableau, Power Apps, Power Automate, Ignition or equivalent platforms.
• Support and coach teams in Lean and continuous improvement methodologies.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of relevant experience in Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, Operational Excellence, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Operations.
• Hands-on experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, VSM and structured problem-solving .
• Experience managing or supporting cross-functional improvement projects .
• Proficiency in data analysis and visualisation tools , such as Power BI, Tableau or equivalent.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• OEM manufacturing experience is an advantage.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt is preferred; Black Belt, PMP or equivalent certification is an advantage.
