Job summary

AVIATION LABOUR GROUP PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks an Aerospace Quality Engineer to support quality and inspection activities in a manufacturing environment. This contract role requires 3+ years in manufacturing and strong GD&T knowledge, with hands-on CMM experience and AS9100 familiarity.

You will develop inspection plans, perform inspections, maintain FAI records, and contribute to continuous improvement while coordinating with engineering and production teams. Rotating shifts are required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant manufacturing experience.
• Strong knowledge of engineering drawings, tolerances and GD&T.
• Hands-on with inspection equipment; CMM experience highly relevant.
• Experience with AS9100/AS9102/AS13100 is an advantage.
• Experience with CMM programming, NDT, or CAD/drawing software is a plus.
• Analytical, problem-solving, and good communication skills.
• Willing to work rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement inspection plans based on drawings, requirements and standards.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing to set inspection methods and acceptance criteria.
• Perform in-process and final inspections using CMM, gauges, calipers and micrometers.
• Prepare inspection records, including FAI and traceability documentation.
• Support CMM or gear inspection programming for in-process and final checks.
• Ensure inspections meet aerospace standards and customer requirements.
• Assist internal and external audits of quality and inspection processes.
• Investigate quality issues using root-cause analysis and 8D/FMEA methods.
• Support corrective actions and continuous improvement in inspection quality.

ALG is currently hiring an Aerospace Quality Engineer for our client based in Singapore. This is a contract opportunity with a global aerospace company, supporting quality and inspection activities within the Aerospace manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and implement inspection plans for aerospace components and assemblies based on engineering drawings, customer requirements, and applicable standards
• Work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to establish suitable inspection methods, measurement techniques, and acceptance criteria
• Perform and support in-process and final inspections using CMM, gauges, calipers, micrometers, and other inspection equipment
• Prepare and maintain inspection records, reports, and documentation, including First Article Inspection (FAI) and traceability records
• Support CMM and/or gear inspection programming for in-process and final inspection
• Ensure inspection and quality activities comply with applicable aerospace standards and customer requirements
• Support internal and external audits relating to quality and inspection processes
• Investigate quality issues and inspection failures using root cause analysis and problem-solving tools such as 8D, FMEA, and Fishbone
• Support corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives to improve inspection efficiency, accuracy, and product quality

Job Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of engineering drawings, tolerances, and GD&T
• Hands-on experience with inspection and measurement equipment; CMM experience is highly relevant
• Experience in quality inspection, inspection planning, FAI, or manufacturing quality
• Familiarity with quality management systems such as AS9100, AS9102, or AS13100 is an advantage
• Experience with CMM programming, NDT, or basic CAD/drawing software will be an advantage
• Good analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Willing to work rotating shifts
