Job summary

Elitez Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a Quality Assurance Lead to drive QA activities and strengthen the Quality Management System (QMS) across the plant.

You will develop inspection plans for aerospace components, collaborate with Design and Engineering, select measurement tools like CMMs and gauges, and ensure traceable records meet regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of engineering drawings, tolerances and GD&T.
• Proficient in inspection tools and equipment such as CMM, calipers and micrometers.
• Working knowledge of QMS and aerospace quality standards AS9100/AS9102/AS13100.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; CAD/drawing software experience.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willing and able to work rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Lead QA activities to support plant quality metrics and the QMS.

About the role

Lead and implement Quality Assurance activities to support plant quality metrics and the Quality Management System (QMS). The role will also support Ethics & Compliance, EHS, Human Resources, Delivery, Cost and CORE action plans.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed inspection plans for aerospace components and assemblies, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, engineering specifications and applicable regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with Design and Engineering teams to define appropriate inspection methods and criteria for new parts, assemblies and systems.
• Identify and select suitable inspection tools, techniques and measurement equipment, including CMM, optical measurement equipment and gauges.
• Establish acceptance criteria and tolerances for aerospace products based on engineering drawings, material specifications and applicable industry standards.
• Create and maintain detailed inspection reports, documentation and records to ensure inspection activities are traceable and compliant with regulatory requirements.
• Develop inspection records supporting traceability and certification, including First Article Inspection (FAI), in-process inspection and final inspection.
• Create CMM or gear programming for in-process and final inspection.
• Ensure inspection processes comply with relevant aerospace industry standards, regulations and customer-specific requirements.
• Investigate quality issues and inspection failures and perform root cause analysis using methods such as 8D, FMEA and Fishbone analysis.
• Lead initiatives to improve inspection processes, reduce inspection time and improve inspection accuracy and reliability.

About you

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of engineering drawings, tolerances and GD&T.
• Proficient in inspection tools and equipment such as CMM, calipers and micrometers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions.
• Working knowledge of Quality Management Systems and aerospace quality standards, preferably AS9100, AS9102 and AS13100.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with basic CAD/drawing software and strong engineering drawing interpretation skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willing and able to work rotating shifts.
