Elitez Aviation PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a skilled Machining Technician to set up jigs and tooling, operating manual and CNC Lathe, VTL, and milling machines to produce precise components. You will read blueprints using GD&T, perform in-process inspections, and follow safety guidelines.

Required are NITEC/Technical Certificate in Mechanical/Precision Engineering and 3–5 years in machining, with strong English communication. TPM duties and continuous improvement ideas are encouraged.

Qualifications

• NITEC or Technical Certificate in Mechanical or Precision Engineering required.
• 3–5 years of machining experience in precision engineering, metals, or aerospace.
• Able to operate manual and CNC Lathe, VTL and milling machines.
• Proficient in reading blueprints with GD&T and using standard measuring instruments.
• Good command of English for effective communication.

Job Summary

You will set up jigs, fixtures, and tooling for machining, operate manual and CNC Lathe, VTL, and milling machines, perform in-process inspections using precision gauges, and ensure compliance with technical data and safety regulations to maintain quality and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Set up jigs, fixtures, and tooling to prepare machines for precise machining operations
• Operate manual and CNC Lathe, Vertical Turning Lathe (VTL), and milling machines to produce components according to specifications
• Perform in-process inspections on machined parts using precision gauges and micrometers to ensure dimensional accuracy
• Interpret and comply with engine manuals, technical data, and work instructions for all machining tasks
• Initiate and suggest continuous improvement ideas to enhance process efficiency, productivity, and quality
• Perform Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities to maintain machine reliability
• Maintain clean and organized machines and work areas following good housekeeping practices
• Adhere to safety rules and regulations throughout all duties to ensure a safe working environment
• Perform sheet metal work as required to support machining operations
• Carry out other related duties as assigned to support team objectives

Required competencies and certifications

• NITEC or Technical Certificate in Mechanical or Precision Engineering, or equivalent
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of machining experience in Precision Engineering, Metal, or Aerospace environments
• Ability to operate manual and CNC Lathe, VTL, and Milling machines
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Skilled in using standard measuring instruments for quality inspection
• Proficient in spoken and written English for effective communication
