ACMV Engineer

Job summary

Tech Grid Asia is seeking an ACMV design engineer to prepare detailed HVAC drawings and specifications for office environments. You will coordinate with interior designers, review shop drawings, and ensure compliance with codes for high-quality project delivery.

The role requires a Diploma or higher in Engineering and at least 2 years of ACMV design experience, with AutoCAD proficiency and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher qualification in Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in ACMV system design or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of ACMV system design for office environments.
• Proficient in drafting AC designs using AutoCAD.
• Ability to perform cooling load calculations and equipment sizing accurately.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
• Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and perform effectively under pressure.
• Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed ACMV drawings, schematics, and specifications including ducting, piping, and equipment layout to support project requirements.
• Align ACMV designs with interior design concepts by coordinating ceiling layouts and diffuser placements to maintain aesthetics.
• Collaborate closely with interior designers to integrate ACMV systems without compromising visual appeal.
• Review and amend shop drawings based on site conditions while ensuring compliance with design intent and quality standards.
• Ensure all ACMV designs comply with local building codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Plan and coordinate resources, subcontractors, and project teams to achieve timely and efficient project delivery.
• Develop operational strategies to enhance project efficiency and competitiveness in the market.
• Review tender documents, drawings, and briefs to accurately define project scope and requirements.
• Prepare presentation slides of ACMV designs for tender submissions to support business development.
• Manage subcontractors and teams to ensure quality execution and adherence to project timelines.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management or immediate superior to support project success.
