Job summary

BENCHMARK STAFFING SOLUTIONS seeks an ACMV Electrical Engineer to review drawings, inspect installations, and verify electrical systems for ACMV projects in Singapore. You will conduct pre-commissioning tests, coordinate with BMS, and ensure compliance with local standards.

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics and at least 3 years’ related experience, with strong reading of drawings and a proactive, team-oriented attitude.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree / Professional Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronics) or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of working experience in ACMV or related field.
• Familiar with building electrical systems, local code of practice, and design review.
• Ability to perform engineering calculations and read electrical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Review electrical drawings, control schematics and ACMV specifications.
• Inspect electrical installations for AHUs, FCHs, MV fans, pumps and related ACMV equipment.
• Verify power supply, cable termination, earthing and motor control panels.
• Conduct pre-commissioning electrical tests including insulation resistance and phase rotation.
• Coordinate point-to-point testing between field devices and BMS, assist in testing sequences.

About Our Client

Our client is a leading air-conditioning and mechanical ventilation (ACMV) provider with a long and successful track record of completing many quality projects.

ACMV Electrical Engineer

Job Description

• Review electrical drawings, control schematics and ACMV specifications.
• Inspect electrical installations for AHUs, FCHs, MV fans, pumps and associated ACMV equipment.
• Verify power supply, cable termination, earthing and motor control panels (MCC/DB).
• Conduct pre-commissioning electrical tests; including insulation resistance, continuity and phase rotation.
• Verify operation of starters, VSDs, control panels and protective devices. Perform functional testing of motors, control circuits and safety interlocks.
• Coordinate point-to-point testing between field devices, control panels and the BMS.
• Assist in testing control sequences, alarms, remote monitoring and equipment interlocks.
• Troubleshoot electrical and control issues during commissioning and coordinate rectification.
• Prepare electrical test records, commissioning reports and as-built documentation.
• Attend inspections, witness testing with consultants and clients, and support system handover.
• Ensure all electrical works comply with project specifications, Singapore standards, and workplace requirements.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree / Post Graduate Diploma / Professional Degree in Engineering(Electrical/Electronics) or equivalent;
• At least 3 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position;
• Well verse with building Electrical System design requirements and Local Code of Practice;
• Must be able to perform engineering calculation and design review on the Electrical system;
• Able to read and understand Electrical Drawing Requirements, self-driven, independent and team-player.
