Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a capable finance professional to manage project billing, invoicing, accounts receivable and payment reconciliation.

You will handle month-end close, financial reporting, general ledger adjustments and asset records, collaborating with project management, sales, operations and finance to streamline the bill-to-cash process.

GST, tax compliance and audit support experience is a plus, with emphasis on accuracy and timely cash collection.

Responsibilities

• Project Billing & Invoicing: Prepare project invoices, progress claims, milestone billings, credit notes and final invoices in accordance with contractual terms.
• Accounts Receivable & Collections: Monitor overdue accounts, follow up on outstanding payments and resolve billing discrepancies with customers.
• Payment & Account Reconciliation: Allocate incoming payments, investigate short payments or unapplied cash, and reconcile customer accounts.
• Month-End & Year-End Closing: Prepare journal entries, foreign currency revaluation, doubtful debt provisions and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare regular reports on sales, billing, accounts receivable, cash flow and group reporting requirements.
• General Ledger: Handle journal entries, adjustments, reclassifications and reversals, ensuring proper supporting documentation.
• Tax, Audit & Compliance: Assist with GST reporting, corporate tax documentation, internal controls and audit queries.
• Fixed Asset Management: Maintain the fixed asset register, coordinate asset verification and ensure accurate asset records.
• Process Improvement: Work closely with Project Management, Sales, Operations and Finance teams to resolve billing issues and improve the Bill-to-Cash process.
• Other Finance Duties: Support customer master data maintenance, stocktaking and other finance-related activities as required.
