Job summary

SEA LLYOD PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks an Assistant Accountant to support the finance team with financial statements including balance sheets, income statements and cash flows, ensuring accurate records.

You will manage full sets of accounts using AutoCount for the main company and UBS for related entities, perform monthly closings, bank reconciliations, GST reporting, and supplier payment scheduling as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience as an Assistant Accountant or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficient in AUTOCOUNT, AXERO or Sage.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Manage full sets of accounts using AutoCount for the main company and UBS for related companies; perform monthly closing activities and reconcile accounts.
• Prepare monthly expense analyses, perform bank reconciliations, and compile quarterly GST reports.
• Monitor bank balances and prepare supplier payment schedules for approval.
• Conduct monthly stock inventory reconciliation and ensure stock valuation accuracy in AutoCount.
• Support daily sales invoicing and handle ad-hoc tasks from the Accounts Manager.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable timely.
• Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and other stakeholders.
• Provide administrative support to the finance team as needed.
