Job summary

A watch retail company in Singapore is looking for an Accountant to manage the full set of accounts. Responsibilities include handling accounts payable and receivable, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with local regulations. The ideal candidate has a degree in Accountancy, at least 2 years of relevant experience, and is proficient in MYOB and Excel. Bilingual in English and Mandarin is a plus.

Job description

Job Responsiblites

• Handle full set of accounts, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Issue invoices accurately and in a timely manner
• Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Process invoices, receipts, payments, payroll and other financial transactions promptly and accurately
• Prepare journal entries, audit schedules, P&L statements, balance sheets, and year-end closing reports
• Liaise with tax agents, auditors, and accounting software providers as required
• Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and tax regulations
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of GST returns
• Any other ad-hoc accounting as assigned

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Accountancy or related field
• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience (F&B or retail industry experience is a plus)
• Proficient in using MYOB Accounting Software and Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with basic bookkeeping procedures
• Bilingual in English and Mandarin to converse with Mandarin speaking associates
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines
